Traditional House Remodel
Traditional Home Remodel
This project has been ongoing for a number of years. First the kitchen was opened up and partially redesigned, and a sunroom was added to open up views of Lake Austin and the Hill Country beyond. Also at that time, a large utility room was reconfigured to include a laundry room, office/mail space as well as a butler's pantry. A new front entry and courtyard were also added. Most recently, the dining room, master suite and downstairs guest suite were renovated. French doors added in the dining room open onto the added courtyard and both suites had complete makeovers. The guest suite bath was reconfigured to include a large shower and the bedroom received a wall of built-in floor to ceiling storage. In the master suite, his and her baths and closets were renovated - his modern and hers more traditional. Similar finish materials in both keep a united look. The bedroom received a custom designed steel fireplace surround and a new stone wall as well as built-in storage. Teak floors were installed in both bedrooms to match the existing house.
