Widening  partitions and shedding doorways  allowed for a laundry station and walk-in  pantry at one end and an open flow into  the jewel box sized breakfast room at the  other. A deep window box above the sink  and a new French door bring space-  expanding daylight and contribute to the  illusion of roominess. Honed soapstone  counters, subway tile and shaker style  inset cabinets reflect the home's vintage  character in this thoroughly streamlined  space. Later, the front exterior of the home was  reworked to bring back the Spanish style  that had been lost through a series of  unfortunate earlier remodels.  kitchen
