exterior before remodel
clarendon
Before moving in to this early 80’s
brick home, the owners decided to do
a major renovation in order to update
the house and better suit their
lifestyle. The overall goal was to
achieve a refined, Texas ranch style
both inside and out. Much of the first
floor of the home’s interior was
completely gutted. The kitchen was
relocated to the rear of the house to
take advantage of the expansive hill
country views, while a large playroom
was added at the front of the home. A
new butler’s pantry now serves as a
transition between the new kitchen
and expanded dining room. The
family room was remodeled and
enlarged by taking in the adjacent
living room creating one great room.
In addition, the master bedroom was
expanded and better connected to the
outdoor living spaces. All of the brick
exterior was removed and replaced
with Texas limestone and stained
cedar siding. Decorative metal roofs
were used where appropriate, as well.
